Lotan Kraun is a PhD Student in the TRANS-SENIOR program at KU Leuven and a Marie-Curie Research Fellow. He obtained his Master of Public Health (MPH) in 2018 and Bachelor’s in Health Systems Management in 2015 from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Be’er Sheva (BGU), Israel.
During his studies, he led academic and community-based health promotion initiatives on both local and national scales. He worked on the framework for BGU’s School of Public Health to develop relevant models rooted in social epidemiology and inequalities in health. Currently, he is pursuing work that incorporates knowledge transfer and exchange (KTE) and informed decision making.
During his PhD, he will focus on forming practical guideline for empowerment in transitional care decision making. Such work will identify necessary strategies and provide practical guidance for senior citizens and informal caregivers involved in transitional care decision making.
