Farah Islam

Farah obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from McGill University (2016) and a Master’s degree in Public Health from the Université de Montréal (2018).  Currently, she is a Doctoral student in Biomedical Sciences at KU Leuven and holds a Marie Curie Fellowship as an Early Stage Researcher (ESR) as part of the TRANS-SENIOR Innovative Training Network (2019 – present) (www.trans-senior.eu). Specializing in Patient Related and Public Health Research, the objective of her Ph.D. seeks to evaluate new triage protocols for senior citizens who seek unplanned care in Belgium. Moreover, she is currently the Bilingual Communications Coordinator for the Obesity Canada Students and New Professionals (OC-SNP) National Executive Committee (2018-2019) as well as an ESR representative for the TRANS-SENIOR supervisory board (2019-2020). ​
