Jasper Vanhoof graduated with honours as ‘Bachelor in nursing’ at the KHLeuven/UCLL in 2010. In 2012, he obtained his Masters’ degree in nursing and midwifery with great honours at the KU Leuven, and started the ‘Bachelor in mental healthcare’ programme at the KHLeuven/UCLL. After successfully completing the programme with great honours in 2013, he started as a full-time PhD student at AccentVV, the position that he currently still holds. Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Fabienne Dobbels, his PhD project is on developing and testing an interactive health technology as self-management support for medication adherence and a healthy lifestyle in adult solid organ transplant patients (PICASSO-Tx). Key in designing and testing of the technology is the application of a human-centred design, in which patients are iteratively involved to increase the technology’s eventual acceptance.
